The exhibition focuses on the emergence of a new visual language, a narrative that borrows and builds upon existing ones and how our perception of the world is in a state of constant transition.
Artist NandanGhiya attempts to visualize the emergence of this new entity, in the form of a mutated reflection/ image that is part-physical, part-digital. This entity is consequently shedding/ altering traditional definitions of cast, creed, gender, nationality; values that once defined identity, as evident in the source images of these works from the Kalakriti Archives which have been thus decontextualized.
