I am a design educator and an artist belonging to the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. Art has always been a sole medium for me to project my sensibilities and emotions and also have been very therapeutic to me in releasing my stress and unrest.
Having born in the hilly region my love of the outdoors grew tremendously. Throughout my life, I have always been fascinated by the complex terrains of the hilly region and yet being so peaceful. My interest was cultivated during my teenage years and further developed when I opted to take my Bachelors Degree in Design.
After completing my degree, I delved even more into visual translations of one’s expression. The spaces are all part of the narrative. I thoroughly cherish this connection with nature. I feel that the artistic exchange between the land and the artist opens up many opportunities.
I also pursued a Master’s Degree in Apparel Design at the National Institute of Design, Gandhinagar specialising in graphics on apparel.
I am presently alongside serving as a design educator. I teach 18- 21-year-olds in order to help them foster the same enthusiasm that I have for Art & Design.
My works are majorly very retrospective and the whole process of creation is very intuitive.
“Let’s go here” is a series of my memoirs of nature and also an escape route to my unrest in the urbanscapes. These artworks are all imagined spaces and an amalgamation of my observations and the objectified reminisce of my past, solitude and longing.
