Karl Antao

Born: Mumbai, 1966

Education: (Applied Arts) Sir J. J. Institute of Applied Art, Mumbai.
His works are interactive in nature, evolving from the organic state and taking a definite shape and concept ultimately.

Some of his pieces hint at an invisible presence even though only a single being can be viewed, and that too, never in entirety. Yet, the alter ego hovers in the air for those with the vision and imagination to see it.

Antao’s sculptures convey myriad human emotions with ease and a visual impact.

His works are usually drawn from realistic figurations. Lives and works in Ahemdabad
